About Me The 2011 Atlanta Braves season is the Braves' 46th season in Atlanta, and the 136th of the franchise. The team is attempting to improve upon their Wild Card berth in 2010 and return to the postseason. For the first time since the 1990 season, Bobby Cox is not managing the club, having retired following the 2010 season. He is succeeded by Fredi González, the former third-base coach for the Braves between 2003 and 2006.
