The Atlanta Braves have been known over the years to hold several promotional events throughout the season to help boost ticket sales. Earlier this season, rapper/actor Ludacris performed an after-game concert for fans. There are countless events left during the 2011 season that should help bring people to Turner Field.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday are 2 for $30 days presented by Coca-Cola and Toyota.
Each Friday night will be Friday Night Fireworks presented by Publix.
Most Monday’s throughout the season will be Buck Belue 5 Buck Night, where Terrace Reserved seats, normally pieced at $24, will be available for just $5.
On Saturday, June 18; Sunday, July 3; Sunday, Aug. 14; Sunday, Aug. 21; Sunday, Sept. 18; kids 14 and under will be allowed to run the bases following the game.
Wednesday, June 15 will be Jason Heyward Bobblehead Day. The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a Heyward bobblehead doll on behalf of Delta Air Lines. Hopefully, Heyward will be healthy and in the lineup that day.
On Father’s Day, which is Sunday, June 19, it is Prostate Cancer Awareness Day at the ballpark. Former Braves playeys Johnny Estrada and Sid Bream will be on hand to sign autographs for fans prior to the game, and Montgomery Gentry will also be performing following the game to finish off the Father’s Day events.
On Saturday, July 16, The B-52′s will be the music act playing following the Braves’ game with the Nationals.
Thursday, July 28, the first 20,000 fans will receive Chipper Jones bobbleheads, sponsored by Delta Air Lines. Since nobody knows how much longer Jones will play, this may be the final Jones-themed event at Turner Field for a long time.
Saturday, Aug. 13 is an important day for reflecting on the Braves history. It will be the celebration of the 20th year of the “Worst to First” team. The Braves will also hold their very own Old Timer’s Day game prior to the action with the Chicago Cubs.
Dan Uggla Bobblehead Day will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18. Delta Air Lines will again supply 20,000 bobbleheads to the first fans that come through the gates.
Brian McCann(notes) Replica Jersey Night will be held on Sunday, Aug. 21. The first 10,000 kids in attendance will receive the jersey.
